Hi!  I'm Kathleen Parman, chief cook and bottle washer of Bright Ideas Design Co.

Bright Ideas Design Co. has been selling patterns for well over 9 years now.  We (speaking for me, myself, and I) started with the Green Bay Packer Sampler quilt and have expanded to include just about every sport that has been requested.

My business, thanks to all of you, continues to flourish and consumes what I like to call, my spare time.  In between my spare time, which is what I like to call, LIFE, I've been blessed with two extremely, repeat extremely, active teenage boys. (15 & 18 now)  I also started getting back into the "real" world with a part-time job as an office manager  (remember me, accounting degree turned pattern designer)  Well, with the oldest son soon heading to college  (Go Badgers!)   I felt the pressure to maybe earn some extra cash to help out what will soon be challenging financial times.  So far, I love getting back out in the world, not working in my pajamas, and the biggest joy is getting the boys to be more independent over the summer months.

As for the boys, Andy is heading to Univ of WI - Madison this fall majoring in BioChemistry.  Michael is finishing up his Freshman year at Wausau East.  It seems like just yesterday the boys and I were in the Big Ball Quilts pattern and I was the proud tall mom. . . they both tower over me now and I guess the proud factor just keeps on growing.
